Our programme is based on Te Whaariki (NZ Early Childhood Curriculum). Please click to access the updated Te Whaariki (2017) and learn more about our curriculum.
The programme is built on the prior knowledge, experiences, skills, attitudes and cultural identities that children and families bring to the Centre. Their interests and strengths are supported and nurtured to develop competencies for school. We value time to meet with you to discuss your child’s learning and progress, and to develop shared goals for your child.

Portfolios (pukapuka)
The teachers maintain Individual portfolios/pukapuka for each child to assess children’s learning. This ensures that your child’s interests and strengths are supported and extended, and teachers are meeting your needs and expectations. Your child’s portfolio is a record of your child’s learning and journey through the preschool years.
You will also be able to receive your child’s e-portfolios which you will be able to access at your convenience. We encourage you to read and respond to communications. This will inform us of your child’s prior experiences enabling us to further support and extend your child’s learning and strengthen partnerships.
